The book comes with the original book-marker issued with this English Edition.(The First Edition was published in the USA in 1971. This book is the 1972 English printing.)The 300 pages of this nicely illustrated book covers the hundred years of history of Hardy's fishing tackle: bamboo and cane rods, reels, flies, trout, salmon, coarse fishing with narratives by the men and women who have used their equipment. The book includes stories and tales of fishing compiled from a variety of times and anglers in the 19th and 20th centuries.The majority of illustrations are taken from Hardy Brother's Catalogues over many years and a variety of illustrations are woodcuts by Thomas Bewick (1753-1828).AS MENTIONED: The book has the publisher's original orange bookmark that accompanied this English Edition.The book is in very good used condition. It shows normal shelf wear and there is wear on the hardcover back cover as shown in the pictures.
