HARLEY-DAVIDSON 1974 POSTER CELEBRATING HANK SCOTT Even though this poster is almost 37 years old, you would never know it! The colors are still vibrant and there is very little creasing and one small tear. The poster is of Hank Scott who on 9/8/74 swept the top 3 places in the Syracuse Mile National. The poster is printed on heavy poster paper and measures 24" across and 36" up and down. I have tried to show any imperfections with my pictures. On the other side there is some dirt and tape marks from where it was hung in my Aunt and Uncles store. All my Harley-Davidson items come from the estate of my Uncle and Aunt who owned their own Harley-Davidson business in Avon, NY - "Kens Cycle Shop," from the early 60's till 1995 when they retired. They kept everything and we are finding all sorts of goodies. Poster will be shipped rolled up in a mailing tube. Some information on Hank Scott I found on the internet: " Hank Scott won 17 AMA Grand National dirt track races during the 1970s and '80s. He earned victories on mile, half-mile and short track courses, while racing aboard Harley-Davidson, Yamaha and Honda machines. In the early 1970s, Hank traveled with his older brother and fellow AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer, Gary, who raced on the AMA Grand National circuit (Gary was the 1975 AMA Grand National Champion.) In 1973, Hank began racing in AMA amateur dirt-track competition and won the AMA Junior Championship title. In 1974, he began competing as a professional in the AMA Grand National series. He won the Syracuse, N.Y., mile aboard a Harley-Davidson, and at season’s end was presented with the AMA Grand National Rookie of the Year award. In 1977, he won the AMA Eastern Region Expert Championship. Scott's best season of AMA Grand National competition was in 1980, when he earned five wins and missed the Grand National Championship title by just one point. He opened Hank Scott Racing in Concord, N.C., to provide engine-building services for motorcycles and race cars. " US Buyers only please! Buyer must pay by Paypal within 2 days of close of auction.
