This is an immediately available, Buy It Now listing for one Harman Kardon Award Series A300 vintage 1960s tube* stereo integrated amplifier, using Push-Pull 6V6GT output tubes, two GE long plate 12AX7 tubes, two GE short plate 12AX7 tubes, plus one Westinghouse long black plate 12AU7 tube. The amplifier is working and sounding surprisingly fine, despite some noisy controls and switches and possibly dirty tube sockets. From left to right, controls are: Balance;/ Power On-Off push Switch, which glows a cool purple while on;/ Bass and Treble Controls;/ Rumble Filter In-Out Switch;/ Stereo to Mono BLEND Control;/ Contour In or Out Switch;/ Loudness(Volume) Control;/ Stereo Reverse or Normal Stereo Switch;/ Function Switch with positions for Phono or Tape Lo; Phono High; Tuner; Aux orTape Amp;/ Equalization Switch for RIAA or NARTB;// All of the behind the face and underneath circuitry is original. All of the tubes included test okay and appear USA made. The output tubes are two RCA smoked grey glass 6V6GT plus one GE black glass and one Tung-Sol black glass 6V6GT type tubes. While some would call this a plug and play amp, it is not intended for any type of novice. The buyer should be familiar with and know how to work on vintage tube* amplifiers. At the very least, this amp requires or will require cleaning and lubing of switches and controls; some capacitors will need to be replaced; some resistors might need to be replaced; some of these or other parts, including tubes, might need to be replaced soon, very soon or immediately. Still, the buyer of this unit should be aware of these possibilities and have the technical know-how necessary to restore this vintage high fidelity amplifier to it's full potential, even though it was a working amp* at this time, working and sounding very fine for over two hours before I listed this item here on ebay. This amp* is in cosmetically fair condition, with many scratches, scuffs and oxidation that does show its' vintage 1960s. Harman Kardon stereo tube amplifiers really do have a good reputation; because of their sound. The circuitry in this amp looks unmolested, but two stand-up power supply capacitors are glued in place as their mounting wafers are weak and broken. There is no top cover, cage or paperwork included. What you see in the pictures is what you get. While this unit tested fine at 120V AC in, this is a working, vintage early 1960s, stereo tube amplifier that should be used on a 110 to 115V AC power line, due to the amp's age.
