Please read all notes before bidding. Thank you. This item is the Harmonica Frank LP - The Great Original Recordings of Harmonica Frank ; Puritan 3003 (M); Cover is clean, no writing, no splits, no tears. Vinyl is VG+. Labels are clean. Story's worth a line or two here - - Frank Floyd (He gave himself that name because his parents deserted him as an infant without naming him) was born in 1908 and died in 1984. He was the first white recording artist for Sam Phillips' Sun Record label (Rockin' Chair Daddy b/w The Great Medical Menagerist, Sun 205). His blues style was said to have given Sam Phillips the idea of a white man doing black man's music, but because of Frank's age and old style music, it didn't work, but the follow up was fairly successful (Elvis Presley), leaving many to consider Harmonica Frank as a pre-cursor and basic influence on Elvis and the R&R movement. After all, Elvis' first Sun release was #209! Selections include the following:Swamp Root, Step It Up and Go, Rock a Little Baby, Howlin' Tomcat, Goin' Away Walkin', The Great Medical Menagerist, She Done Moved, Monkey Love, Howlin' Tomcat (Alt unreleased take), Rockin' Chair Daddy. This time around I am selling off all of my 55 year collection. This is my personal collection and not something on consignment. All items are guaranteed original for the issue, unless read more
