HAROLDS CLUB 1970 CHARISMA VIP CASINO DECANTER JIM BEAM

Charisma is a flat two-sided bottle of soft grey, blue and gold. Bands of gold scrolls alternate with bands of blue and white daisies. Florentine gold covers the scrolled handle, neck, pouring lip and stopper. Shades of grey are painted on the back of the bottle. Made by Regal China, it is 12 1/2 inches high.

This was a special version of the executive VIP decanters that was made for the Harold's Club Casino in Reno, Nevada. From 1967 through 1982 Jim Beam made an annual decanter that they called their VIP decanter. These were made in very limited quantities. The 1970 was called the "Charisma."

One of Beam's best customers, Harold's Club, had Beam make a small number of each year's VIP decanter just for Harold's Club -- with Harolds Club on each and every bottle.

I have most of the Harolds Club VIP series up for sale this week. All are empty. Some of the auctions include the original box, and if it does, it is starting at $10 higher than the same decanter without the original presentation box. No chips, cracks or liquor, but as with any decanter this age, the cork may need a little TLC.
