The painting remains in very fine condition, it is signed with a monogram bottom left and is framed and ready to hang. James Wright was born on 13th January 1935 in Peterborough, today he is regarded as one of the finest landscape artists of his generation. Self taught, he is widely acclaimed for his romantic scenes of East Anglia and in particular his ability to capture the beauty of its wonderful sky. Many of his original works have been published as limited edition prints. His early years as an artist were spent capturing the haunting scenes of the once busy fishing villages in Norfolk, Cornwall and Sussex.
