This is a very nice example of an English made 19th Century Bowie knife. The blade is marked "Harrison Brothers & Howson Cutlers to Her Majesty". T are no other markings or an England stamp. Information I found says they were in the cutlery business from 1871 to 1930 and that Queen Victoria died in 1901. T fore, this knife was made some time between 1871 and 1901. This knife is 10 1/16" long with a 6" blade. The guard is nickel plated and the handles are stag. T is one very fine crack line in the stag at one of the pins. The spear pointed blade is very nice and unsharpened. T is some discoloring and rubbed bright spots on the blade. Click on pictures for larger view. Buyer pays all shipping, insurance and handling. I accept US postal money orders and Paypal. $5.00 discount for payment by money order. Please wait for invoice with payment instructions and my address. Thanks.
