In this auction you'll find an original design maquette from the Warner Brothers' Consumer Products 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' campaign. The sculpture was produced as a three-dimensional reference for product designers and licensees. The 'Harry Potter' character maquette was reproduced as a limited edition retail piece for the Warner Brothers Studio Stores in the late 1990s. The Hermione Granger maquette was used for internal product development only and was never released to the public. The Hermione maquette is in scale with the publicly-released Harry statue (~11.5 inches tall).This maquette was obtained from an employee of the now-defunct Studio Store division of Warner Brothers. Most internal design maquettes are destroyed after a product campaign due to legal stipulations. This Hermione Granger sculpture was rescued by an associate when the WB Studio Stores division closed down in 2001. It is certainly a very uncommon piece.Since this maquette is a studio original, it does not come with a box or packing materials. The item will however be meticulously packaged for safe shipping.
