The Harvard Classics Charles Eliot (editor) New York: P. F. Collier & Son, 1909 (Volumes 1-25), 1910 (Volumes 26-50), 1914 (Lectures). First edition, set #11413 (stamped at foot of "Introductory Note" in first volume). Complete in 51 volumes, including the unnumbered "Lectures". In original flexible black leatherette. Lettered in gilt on spine, with Harvard emblem in gilt and slightly raised bands. We would characterize the overall condition of the set as very good, with individual volumes ranging from good+ to near fine. A number of volumes show slight evidence of damp/dry (faint dampstaining to text block, slight rippling to cover(s) and/or some pages). A few volumes have whitish rubbing to the covers. We find no ownership or other markings in any of the volumes. Ships in new, double-walled corrugated box.
