A very good quality Americansterling silver and enamel souvenir spoon. It is hallmarked STERLING along withthe makers marks of the Mechanics Sterling Company and dates to the early 20 th century. It has been unusually designed for Harvard University having an owl topped crested terminal supported by flags. I presume it would have been given as a graduation gift. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs just a few faint marks to its bowl, the enamel is perfect. It is a good sized example measuring almost 6 inches (14.8cms) long and weighs 27.4 grams. A very unusual high quality example. It is of course possible to find fault with almost all antiques. Any faults I mention will be extremely small and not at all noticeable but mentioned for accuracy. I photograph all my pieces at high resolution on backgrounds that will highlight any imperfections. If you are in any way not satisfied with an item please email me within 48 hours of receiving it as I am most willing to offer a full refund , less return postage costs. Items must be returned within 14 days for bidders to qualify for a refund. Postage costs will obviously be renegotiated for multiple purchases. I will post to any country if you are unsure about the postage costs or anything in general simply contact me through ‘ask seller a question’ at the top of the page. Please note if an item arrives damaged (it has not happened yet) please retain all the packaging including the original brown paper as the Royal Mail can refuse to pay out if this is missing.
