Harvey, William Fryer - The Beast With Five Fingers (J.M. Dent / E.P. Dutton 1928) VG+ The first US edition of the author's best collection of weird tales. A very presentable copy with the delicate white lettering still intact. Harvey's second and scarcest collection, preceded by Midnight House. "Good Stories" - Bleiler in The Guide to Supernatural Fiction . Rather an understatement as in addition to the titular story this collection contains such classics of the macabre as "The Ankardyne Pew", "Miss Avenal" and my own favorite of Harvey's stories, "The Clock". More than just "good stories", this is definitely one of the most important collections of weird fiction to be issued in the 1920s. Comparable copies sell for $150-$200, we have set a bargain price of just $124.99 if you use BUY IT NOW. Free shipping in US, overseas customers please add $10.00 to help defray shipping costs.
