Rare..Haunted House Mystery Bank.. Va. Estate Find Description Just In Time For Halloween.. I recently acquired this vintage battery operated Haunted House bank from a local Va estate. I found this bank, and another that I sold last week here on Ebay, and thats all I found.. This bank comes in its original box. I have researched this, and discovered that these banks were promotional items from Disneyland when they first opened their Haunted House attraction back in 1966. So subsequently there are not too many around. I feel certain that this hadn't been used since that time.. Unfortunately this bank does not work properly. I placed 2 D cell batteries in it, and the front door light came on, and stayed on. It would not run correctly when I placed a coin on the step. The doors are supposed to open, and a ghost emerges and takes the coin and goes back in.. This does nothing. I am guessing it just needs some adjusting is all. Its in in near mint condition otherwise. The box has a seam split on the left front corner and light wear overall. This bank is not as nice as the other I found, so I have adjusted the price way down accordingly.. and offered a BIN price and will take reasonable offers..
