This is a VERY RARE very BEAUTIFUL example of a New Haven Mantle Clock in Superior 100% ALL ORIGINAL condition. It has WESTMINSTER CHIMES and is in OUTSTANDING ALL-ORIGINAL CONDITION. We have been collecting antique clock since 1965 and this is the very first one of these we’ve ever seen! It was made circa 1923, and is made very well with high quality materials and construction. This is one of the nicest examples of an all original clock we have seen. The movement runs great. Sounds wonderful, sounding the Westminster chimes every quarter hour on 4 chime rods. It is a very happy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Runs great with a wide happy pendulum swing! Has a very beautiful mellow sound that is not too loud but can be easily heard. The clock has a very quiet way it ticks also. Here is a video of the clock running and chiming! With a “well made and heavy duty” signed "New Haven Clock Co” 8-day time and strike movement with Westminster Chimes. The movement is nice and clean and runs well! The clock strikes on the quarter-hour and counts the hours on the hour on chime rods with a beautiful sound. It plays 4 notes at the first ¼, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the ¾ hour and 16 notes plus strikes the hour on the hour with a beautiful chord! It measures 10 inches high 17 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Would be the highlight of any mantel. The very rare very beautiful case is in superior beautiful condition with its original back door, original sound hole and original label! As close to mint condition we have ever seen. The case is made with a practically faultless condition. It has a very beautiful fancy original finish. The clock has its original bezel and original heavy bevel glass. Someone really loved this clock and took very good care of it. The dial is original, with raised gold numbers and also is in the best condition of one of these fancy dials we have ever seen, signed New Haven. The dial also has an adjustment for chime and silent – great for when you have guests stay over that are not used to a chiming clock at night. The back door is also in superior condition. Everything is original to the case – there are no extra screw holes. The metal around the dial (bezel) is original (no extra screw holes). Complete with the its original adjustable pendulum (quite rare for a clock to still have its original pendulum) and an American double ended key – one end to wind the clock and the other to adjust the clock for chime and silent and slow and fast on the dial – you don't have to take the clock down off the mantel in order to adjust it for slow and fast! This particular clock is a very happy clock as it is a strong runner! These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after 80 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 200 years! If you are looking for an antique clock that runs well – this is it! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
