Purchased this clock at a clockmakers estate sale. Was marked as requiring repair. Nice piece for a knowledgeable clock repair person. Antique New Haven crystal regulator clock. Dates to about 1911. Appears to be made of either brass or bronze. Beveled glass. Strikes hour and half hour. Needs cleaning, polishing and movement repair. Case is in good shape overall. There is wear to the finish. Top section is slightly distorted requiring a shim to make the finial fit tightly. Not particularly noticeable. Both doors and the side panels are beveled glass. The rear door glass has a chip out of the upper right corner (shown in photo). Pendulum does not have any glass around the simulated mercury inserts, as would normally be found. Dimensions approximately: 13 1/2 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches deep. Movement looks clean but is not currently running. Did run previously for a short period and the strike worked properly at that time. Springs do not wind completely and have probably become detached from the inside of the barrels. Properly sized key is included. Clock is being sold as is for repair. Please examine photos very carefully and make your own determination of condition. Ask any questions before bidding. Seller will not accept return. Shipment within the United States only. Postage charge includes the cost of insurance. read more
