This is a COMPLETELY RESTORED example of a BEAUTIFUL New Haven SOLID OAK Mantle Clock in SUPERIOR condition. It was made circa 1890. This clock looks just about like it did when it was new many years ago! It is a very happy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Runs Great! With a strike on the hour and the half hour, counts the hours on its original gong! It measures 22 inches high 13 ½ inches wide and 4 ½ inches deep. It has a signed "New Haven Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The movement was just cleaned, oiled, pivots polished and bushings added where needed. This clock will not need servicing for many years to come, and is ready for the next 100 years! This is a labor intensive service, with many clockmakers charging 250.00 and up.We recommend having it oiled every 2 to 3 years to keep it in tip-top shape! With the purchase of this clock for an additional $ 2.25 we will include an oiler kit with a professional oiler loaded with enough oil to oil approximately 50 clocks with easy instructions so you could even do it yourself! The case is beautiful! The case is made of solid oak in superior completely restored condition. Has A BEAUTIFUL finish in great condition. The dial is a correct replacement (it looks so good). The door fits well and is tight with the fancy glass. This clock has an adjustment for fast and slow on the original pendulum. This way you do not have to take the clock down from its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast! The back is in perfect condition with part of the original paper label. Complete with the original pendulum and a new key. We have included some pictures of the signed movement so you can see its inner beauty. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after over 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years! If you are looking for an antique clock that looks great and runs well – this is it!
