This auction is for a Beautiful China Salt Cellar by Haviland of Limoges, France. It has a scalloped bottom with a floral pattern and Gold Feet. It is factory painted, with the Two Marks underneath, Haviland France in Green, and Haviland & Co Limoges in red. This mark was first used in 1876. The salt is shown in H&J 5,000 Open Salts number 1399 and The Open Salt Compendium, plate number 724. It is in mint condition, t are no chips, cracks or flakes. It measures 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 5/8 of a inch in height.
