This auction is for a beautiful hand painted Haviland Limoges lidded coffee, tea, or chocolate pot. It is decorated with an autumn motif of oak leaves in shades of green, deep red, and brown adorned with acorns. The pot stands approximately 7 1/2" without the lid and approximately 8" with the lid. The lid bears no marks. The pot itself bears an underglaze dark green word "Haviland" in an arched shape over the word "France" as described by Mary Frank Gaston as Haviland Mark #12 (1893 - 1930). T is also the number 147 over the number 305 in blue ink on the base of the pot. This would lead me to believe that this was some kind of limited edition item decorated by a company other than Haviland, but this is merely speculation on my part. The artist appears to have signed this piece in the design about halfway between w the top of the handle and the bottom of the handle is attached to the body of the pot. I believe the name to be "Stoner". Please refer to the last two pictures for details of the Haviland mark as well as the artist's signature. Both pieces of this coffee, tea, or chocolate pot are in pristine condition with no chips, nicks, cracks, scratches, or repairs of any kind. I have had this pot on display in my china cabinet for several years. The only reason that I am selling it is due to failing health. Over the course of the next few months, I am going to be listing many different pieces of china, collectible plates, figurines, etc. Please take time to check out my other listings this week as well as in the future. Whenever possible, I will gladly combine items to reduce shipping charges. Note: The lucite stand used to assist in photographing this set is not part of the auction. Additionally, any white spots in the pictures are reflections and not any kind of damage.
