STUNNING HAVILAND LIMOGES #340 DESSERT/ BREAD PLATE “”AWSOME SWAG PINK ROSES AND BLUE RIBBONS”” “ELEGANT DOUBLE GOLD TRIM ON THE ROMEO BLANK” This is a beautiful Theodore Haviland Limoges dessert or bread plate in the Schleiger #340 pattern on the beautiful Romeo blank. This is one of nicest Theodore Haviland patterns you will come across. The design on this piece is a floral design with pink rambling roses, on delicate green vines and leaves. The pattern kind of drapes from the rims and every so often a bouquet of pink roses are entwined with a beautiful blue ribbon. There is a lot of pattern all around the rim flowing down into the plate with a round wreath in the center of the plate . Lots of beautiful pattern on this plate. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PLATE IN EXCELLENT TO MINT CONDITION!!! The outside edge is semi scalloped and on the inside edge there is a raised design. The outside edge and the inside edge have a beautiful double gold gilded design. Please be sure to look closely at the photos to make sure it matches your pattern as many of the variants look a lot alike. This dessert/bread plate is in EXCELLENT condition with no chips, cracks, or flakes and little if any wear to the gold or pattern. Photo may be slightly brighter than the item. As with all antique china, there may be a slight factory glaze skip or flaw, but nothing that takes away from this beautiful plate. The dessert or bread plate measures approx.6 1/4 inches across. PATTERN PLACEMENT MAY BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN IN THE PHOTOS BECAUSE I SELL FROM SETS AND NO TWO PIECES ARE JUST THE SAME IN THIS POPULAR HAVILAND PATTERN!!! The marks on the bottom of this plate are the over glazed Theodore Haviland over Limoges over France in red. The over glazed red mark is Theodore Haviland mark # 34 mark in The Collector’s Encyclopedia Of Limoges. There is also a red importers mark on the back. These marks date these pieces back to between 1904 to the 1920s. This is a fabulous Haviland Limoges dessert or bread plate and would make an excellent addition to your collection.
