JUST IN TIME FOR YOUR EASTER TABLE AND SPRING ASPARAGUS !! This is a BEAUTIFUL and unique Haviland Limoges serving piece, made in France. It measures 13 inches long and 8 1/2 inches wide. The insert measures 9 1/2 inches x 5 inches. I do not know what the flower pattern is, but have included a close up photo. The colors are pastel blues, pinks and greens. On the ends of the platter is a gold handpainted design that looks like an asparagus end. T is some wear on the gold. The platter is in perfect condition without any chips, cracks or crazing. I am selling some items for a friend that were a part of her mother in law's estate. Although I do not know much about the individual items I am listing, I thought it would be fun to hear about the background of the items I have up for auction. This is what my friend had to say about w these items are from: "Grandma Hoffman came to the US in 1850 from Germany. Grandma's husband was a keeper in the Black Forest over in Germany. They ended up moving to Breeze, Illinois and had a General Store t for many years. Grandma Hoffman died in 1910. My mother in law was named in the Will and that is how she acquired many of these pieces. Grandma Hoffman was Bill's great grandmother." I feel by including that short history, it gives anyone looking at these items a personal touch to what I have listed. I am not an Antique Dealer, I do this for fun and I am just helping out a friend. I really do not have full knowledge of the value of some of the items I have listed in this week's auction, but as with all Ebay items, that is the fun of the hunt and the bidding.
