Beautifully hand painted gold accents gently float around the edge and handles of this beautifully shaped Covered Soup/Casserole by Haviland, Limoges. Whisps of fine gold swirls silently float like a single feather that is caught up in a delicate breeze and drifts until it is gently placed in just the right position to catch your eye to a thing of grace and beauty. A handle is just not a handle with Haviland Limoges. It is a masterpiece which crowns the lid and sides and draws your eye to this ribbon with gold trim so that you cannot resist reaching out to clasp some of the lovliness to yourself. Imagine this lovely Covererd Soup/Casserole adding just the perfect touch on your table for the Special Occasion. This set belonged to a Literary Society which held an estate sale. These pieces are pristine and yet the green and red stamp on the bottom and lid date these lovely dishes between 1883 and 1885. This Covered Soup/Casserole measures 12" long, 7.5" wide and 5.5" high including the handles. T are no chips, nicks or cracks of any kind. The shape is almost a rectangle with rounded, scalloped corners. Limoges is known for unparallelled quality, beauty and grace. I have many pieces of this fantastic set up for auction and will gladly combine shipping for multiple wins. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. Thanks for looking!
