~~~ Haviland Limoges 1888-1896 ~~~ This rare Ice Relish dish is antique Limoges porcelain manufactured AND factory decorated by Haviland & Co. in France more than 100 years ago! It bears the original Haviland & Co. makers and decorators marks. As you may know, factory decorated items are truly rare and can be very difficult to find in such outstanding condition. This piece is in Excellent antique condition. It is absolutely free of chips, cracks, or repairs ~ in fact, it is stunning in person! NO RESERVE!! HIGHEST BID WINS NO MATTER WHAT THE BID!! The apple-green enamel was completely hand applied. It embellishes the scalloped edges along the double row of glistening gold. Note the golden details that add elegance to the handle. We believe this pattern may be a variant of the Schleiger #270. Tiny pink roses decorate the edges and a bouquet of roses and blue blossoms decorates the center of the dish. Measuring approximately 8 1/2 inches by 8 inches by 2 inches deep, these antique Ice Relish dishes kept condiments chilled when placed on ice.
