~~~ Haviland Limoges 1889-1931 ~~~ Our ramekin cup and saucer are a matched set of antique Limoges porcelain manufactured and decorated by Haviland in France in the late 1800s or very early 1900s. Both pieces are in excellent antique condition ~ free of chips, cracks, repairs or excessive wear. These antique Haviland Limoges ramekin sets are highly collectable and this pattern known as Schleiger #270 is truly a prize and is gorgeous in person! ~~ PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO ENJOY ALL OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHS ~~ Several garlands of pink roses cascade from the edges of the cup and the saucer. Note how the cup is also decorated on the inside. The cup has a gently scalloped gold gilt edge that matches the saucer ~ so elegant! The cup measures about 3 3/4 inches by 2 inches; the saucer measures about 5 3/4 inches. These ramekin sets were used late in the multi-course Victorian meal. A savory meat, fish or ham custard was often served in them. They were not used for sweets or desserts as many people believe. Today they are a favorite among collectors.
