DESCRIPTION: For auction is a wonderful Haviland, Limoges candy box or custard base (no lid) in the Marseilles shape. The piece is marked with the green underglazed Haviland France mark and the arched red Haviland & Co. decorator mark - dating it to circa 1893-1931. There are additional salesman sample markings in red on the bottom. The decoration consists of scattered yellow flowers. There is blue and gold accenting on the raised areas of the mold and gold accenting on the rim. The porcelain is translucent and rings beautifully. CONDITION: The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The gold is in very good condition, showing only slight wear. SIZE: The bowl measures 1 5/8 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and 3 inches long. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: All items will be shipped insured but I do not use delivery confirmation unless requested. The insurance will be included in the handling fee so if you use a postal calculation based on what you think it might weigh, then take into consideration that the additional cost is for insurance and handling. The shipping costs are estimated to the best of my ability, but if I miscalculate by a great margin, I have been known to send back a partial reimbursement for overcharges. I'm not out to gouge anyone on the shipping fees and the 'handling' fee is nominal
