is a wonderful individual coffeepot from Haviland, c. 1876, decorated with the 'Meadow Visitors' pattern of butterflies, blossoms and sprays of wheat. Most magnificent of all is the butterfly-shaped handle, enhanced with gilding. Base of spout is molded with lappets and is also gilt. Three pouring holes inside are done by hand. Finial of lid is an open flowerhead. Height is 4 5/8". Signed H & Co in green and retailers mark 'Haviland & Co. Davis Collamore & Co. Broadway & 21st St. New York' in blue. Lid is signed H & Co. D. Collamore & Co. 547 (or 1) 4. Condition is almost excellent - the pot, itself, is superb - no chips, cracks, or 'nicks', . Gilding and enamels are 99.9% intact. Inside is clean. The lid, however, has a reglued finial (it is secure). Although noticeable when viewed from the side, the lid still sits nicely on the pot. Maybe a replacement lid can be found someday for this rare and very desirable piece of Haviland.
