HAWAIIAN SHIRT. VINTAGE. 1940'S. Old school collectors have long called these classic prints 2-toned alohas even though many of them,like this Beauty,have a delicate mauve shading on the white print. Over the 30 plus years that we've been dealing in aloha wear, we've had numerous examples in numerous background colors and have always fancied those that are lavishly "Decorated" like this example; They have a frothiness that makes them so fresh to wear. Our 2-tone has a tasty cinnamon colored ground and is literally covered with graphic Haw. water lilies on bamboo like stalks. Large. Original plastic buttons. Armpit to armpit: 23". Top of collar to hem:29". Sleeve length:9 1/2". 1940's in silky,drapy, rayon. Label: Made in California. PLEASE VIEW OUR OTHER AUCTIONS.
