The book is called, "Hawaiian Bottles Of Long Ago," written by Rex R. elliot & Stephen C. Gould. This is a Hawaiian Bottle reference guide. This book contains the description and pictures of Hawaiian bottles and a detailed list and classification system to aid any bottle collector in identifying antique Hawaiian bottles. This book references all bottles manufactured in Hawaii as early as the 1800's. It classifies soda bottles, milk bottles, beer bottles, and medicine bottles and it helps you to identify bottles by Islands (Maui, Oahu, Hawaii and Kauai). It classifies hand blown versus molds, different top shapes, pop tops and seltzer bottles and even points out many errors during a time w t were misspellings during hand etching that was frequent and made bottles one of a kind and rare to find. It also helps you to identify the period in which the bottle was made and the minute details that seperate different years of bottle production as well as some insight to the history of that bottle related to Hawaiian history.
