This auction is for a Hawaiian Sunrise Shell ( Pecten langfordi ) from the island of Oahu.The shell measures 33.0 mm top to bottom. At its widest point (measured diagonally), it is 34.0 mm. See coin in photo for size reference. Large size shell with beautiful colors. Bright yellow with olive green & pink on the shoulder. The inside is white with bright pink & yellow around the edge. Nice! Note that there are a few tiny hole on the shell (see pics for details), but it still looks nice. The shell has been worn smooth by the sand, and would be perfect for jewelry or as part of your collection. The finish on the shell is natural, as depicted in the photos. I never use oil or any other coatings on my shells. Collection info will be provided with the shell. All shells were hand collected under license in an ethical manner with no damage to the marine environment. I'm happy to combine shipments, so if you win some of my other items please let me know and I'll give you a better shipping rate. Postage inside Hawaii may be slightly cheaper.
