A lovely Hawksley fluted powder flask Riling 293 - Hawksley "hand fitting form". Before going further I realise condition is everything in respect of flasks. If you want better pictures or more detail please ask now rather than I send out the flask and have it returned. I have amassed several flasks over the years because I collect old flint and percussion guns. The flasks are incidental and come with some of the purchases. While attractive I don't actually collect them and am listing here simply to clear space. Brass fireproof or safety type top which unscrews (and it does) for filling. Spring intact and works fine. The measure with 3 graduations 2 ¼, 2 ½, 2 ¾ drams and marked G&JW Hawksley. Just noticed what looks like a little solder on the thumb catch. It might be a tidy repair. One or two tiny marks on the edge, and regrettably a largish soft dent to one face area (the sort of dent you could attribute to it having been in a jacket pocket and protected but accidentally squashed a little).
