** SOLID & HEAVY**C.1920 ANTIQUE 12K GOLD FILLED NECK CHAIN- 70 GRAMS !! From my own personal collection, I am ASBOLUTELY THRILLED to offer this FANTASTIC Antique 12K Gold Filled Curblink Necklace.. and this beautiful HEAVY piece is in FABULOUS condition .. and would suit the serious or fastidious buyer.. and this would make a PERFECT gift ! It has an AMAZING weight of 70 GRAMS !!. .. measures 16 3/8" in length .. and 3/8" in width.. everything people are looking for in a neck chain ! This is a MUST for the antique collector as these are becoming extremely RARE ! It is that antique gold color that buttery hue with a hint of rose gold.. and will compliment both rose gold and yellow gold accessories. The links are a CURBLINK ... ... the links are SOLID NOT HOLLOW ...and this measures just under 16 3/8".. a VERY RARE FIND !! The photos look rather brassy and pale in color and i redid them this evening but was overcast.. and sat it on top of a large domed antique clock to try and present it to you more clearly. I CANNOT SPEAK MORE HIGHLY OF THIS.. AND THE NEW OWNER WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED HISTORY It is Circa 1920 by design and styling. It is just fabulous and unique ..you dont find these in such lovely condition, NOR in this WEIGHT LENGTH and STYLE . It looks stunning on the neckline .. and I have had this for many years but have not worn it and it has resided in a velvet cloth in my jewel case.. and when being worn and it is so comfortable to wear and looks so rich and sumptous without being gaudy. Due to its condition it would make a lovely gift. . It is stamped on the clasp 12K GF for gold filled, but it looks and feels like solid karat gold, and from the beautiful patina you would think it is solid gold.. Antique gold filled jewelry such as this is considered to be equivalent in quality to todays low karat gold,. and quite often gold filled findings such as clasps were used due to their strength and rigidity and the actual necklaces were solid gold...this indeed has that look and feel.! DESCRIPTION & SIZING The links are curblink and SOLID ...they are all gold soldered which denotes its quality from times gone by .......and this piece catches the light with every turn...simply AMAZING ! It has that beautiful patina is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry.. It is that antique gold color.. that buttery hue unlike the brassy yellow gold of today. The feel of this chain is fabulous, it has that ultra smooth look and feel when putting it on, that usually is associated with solid karat gold.. . It measures just under 16 3/8" in length ...so flattering on the neckline. The individual links are 3/8" in length and the necklace is just under 3/8" in width...and the links are SOLID not hollow..so this can be worn 24/7 without fear of damage or denting. T are no dings or dents in this piece due to its solid and quality construction. It has an old scissor locking clasp..so this piece is wonderfully secure ! It is in FABULOUS PRISTINE antique condition as it has NEVER been worn !! It weighs a whopping 70 grams which further adds to its appeal! THis is a MUST for the discerning collector, or the antique collector,as these heavy necklaces are becoming so hard to find these days. The pictures do not reflect the rich colors of this beautiful heirloom piece, and they appear faded and washed out, but it is just STUNNING... so very hard to photograph because of the shiny surface. so please check my feedback so you may feel confident bidding with me.
