American (possibly Pennsylvania), mid-18th century. A sack back Windsor armchair in mixed hardwoods having seven spindles, a saddle seat and a wide bent arm piece terminating in carved knuckles, all rising on splayed, turned legs joined by an H-stretcher; oah. 36.6, arm wd. 26.25, seat dp. 16.25 in.Condition:Feet shortened. Old iron brace repairs to back of seat rail. Refinished.
