For your consideration, this great little 3/4 size Workhorse Singer 185J Serial #JD783643 made in Canada in 1954. Check out these pictures, # 1 = machine and genuine Singer foot control, # 2 = rear view of motor, light and hand wheel, # 3 = view of top loading 66 oscillating hook assembly, # 4 = Bottom view of all steel heavy duty mechanism # 5 = Machine with accessory box, instruction book, accessories and sewing samples, all to be included with the machine. For your information: I am a trained sewing machine technician. I began my training with SINGER on January 31, 1966 and am still learning. I personally inspected, tuned, tested, cleaned and lubricated this machine to make sure you are receiving a sewing machine that functions properly. This requires many steps and requires the knowledge gained through training and years of experience to insure proper tuning. All parts have been checked for excessive wear (replaced if necessary) and the machine is ready for your sewing enjoyment, after a q-tip clean-up by my wife. Machine will include: Samples of heavy duty sewing, 8 layers sunbrella & denim 4 layers vinyl and 8 layers outdoor furniture fabric (always make the first two or three stitches in heavy applications with the hand wheel and make sure the feed dogs are completely covered.)
