This elegant four piece solid sterling silver tea & coffee service was made in England. It includes a coffee pot, 7-3/4" tall (to the top of the handle)... a teapot, 5-3/4" tall... a creamer, 3-1/4" tall... and a sugar bowl, 3-1/2" tall. The pieces are classically designed in a simple bowed-rectangular form with applies chamfered legs and feet. The tea & coffee pots have rounded burled wood handles & flush hinged covers topped with rectangular burled wood knobs with sterling finials. Each piece is fully & correctly hallmarked with a crown, the lion passant, "y", & "S&W" indicating that the set is sterling silver, made in the town of Sheffield, England in 1941 by "S&W". The lids are hallmarked as well with the sterling standard lion. The set weighs 67 oz. on my reliably accurate scale. The coffee pot stands securely but a bit wobbly...one foot should probably be bent down just a tad to level it (it's never been an issue). And, t are a very few negligible pings & tiny surface scratches, too tiny to photograph but mentioned for accuracy. This superb service has been very well cared for and is in BEAUTIFUL CONDITION with no dents, monograms or restorations. It is made of an excellent gauge of silver of superior quality and the design is simply timeless! Bid with confidence - I do not sell reproductions. Shipping to be determined read more
