WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE GEORGE V SILVER CASTOR. IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And really nice and heavy too. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely solid silver castor of excellent gauge and weight.Hallmarks are to side and it is also marked on lid too. Assayed in Birmingham and dated 1918 (year letter t).Maker is RM EH-Martin Hall & Co.They are very good makers whose mark can be found in Jackson's pocket edition page 158. This is a lovely and uncommon piece of antique silver-lid is a good snug fit as it should be. The height is very large at 8.75 inches. This lovely shaker is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver.It sits on an octagonal base. The weight is a sublime 210 grams (6.75 troy ounces) and the overall condition is terrific. It is unengraved and always has been,definitely no erasures either. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look. A truly beautiful and most wonderful lot. Remy Martin & Ebenezer Hall were fine makers and this would grace any home for sure. Would doubtless cost an awful lot of money in a good retail outlet today.. PERFECT FOR USE ALL YEAR ROUND,DINE IN REAL STYLE! Collection is more than welcome-i am located near junction 18 of M25 Motorway.Delivery may also be possible as i travel often.
