Wonderful antique Arts & Crafts rocker mfg. by Harden, of Camden, New York, circa 1910.
Very fine condition and original finish. This is a large and heavy rocker...it weighs over 45 lbs. Solid w/ no looseness. Size: 30" wide, 36" tall. It has many desirable features: Pinned thru-mortise construction. Bowed arms w/ posts protruding through at the front. Double crest rail. Front rail is thru-mortised. Five slats to the back rest. Four slats to the floor on the sides. Beefy, massive components. Very comfortable and almost effortless to rock as the balance is towards the back. Probably Harden's best rocker design. Unsigned, but two nails remain on the inside of the back seat stretcher that used to hold their very large label (see photo w/out the seat). Seat is covered in leather-like micro-fiber fabric that is soft like suede, is durable, and easy to clean. Everyone who looks at it thinks it is leather. $55 box/packing fee. Insured shipping via Greyhound Package Express is $85. You pick it up at the Greyhound terminal. PayPal due w/in 3 days. MO or check due w/in 7 days. A very useful and stylish addition to your Roycroft era decor. Hardin
