I believe this to be the 1958 reprint of the 1884 original that was published in London. The edition auctioned was published on the Tenth anniversary of the State of Israel (1958) This is a reduced facsimile of the Jewish Family Bible issued in London in 1645--1884, edited by Dr. M. Friedlander, Principal of Jews' College, London and sanctioned by the Chief Rabbi of Great Britain. The pictures stamped on the cover were selected from antique Bibles published during the last four centuries drawn and engraved by famous artists. This Bible Book is unused. It is from an estate sale found in a box of collectables. While the book's silver cover is tarnished and appears to have a little dent in the center crest (it could have been made that way) the pages are crisp. When you thumb through the bible you will see what I mean by unused..... I suspect it was originally purchased while on vacation while visiting then brought home and stored. Dry Book Weight: 2lbs Dementions: 5.5" X 4.5" X 2.25
