THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. WHAT MAKES IT MUCH MORE VALUABLE IS THAT THIS IS THE FIRST HALLMARK HECTOR AGUILAR USED WHEN HE STARTED HIS SHOP IN 1940. WHAT ALSO MAKES IT SPECIAL IS THAT HE USED THE PURER 940 SILVER VS 925 STERLING SILVER. THERE ARE SO FEW OF THE ORIGINAL HALLMARK PIECES OUT THERE NOW. I have only seen one other buckle with this same hallmark and that one sold at Christies auction house. Dated and made circa 1940-1945. There are others but none with this early first hallmark. Hector Aguilar worked for Spratling in 1939 and began his own shop in 1940. He has been featured In every book that has to do with Taxco silver jewelry.
