Large spectacular brooch from master Mexican silversmith Hector Aguilar, circa 1945. Hand-crafted in 0.940 Fine silver (a slightly higher silver content than 0.925 sterling), the pin is stamped "TAXCO" and "940". It measures 3 1/2" long x 3 1/4" wide and weighs 61.4 grams. The condition is very good, but there are a few scratches from age and light wear--and in particular, a scuff which appears greatly enlarged in the photo and looks much better in person.
