Heimskringla The Stories of the Kings of Norway Vol 1-3 Called the Round World DESCRIPTION Written by Snorri Sturluson. Published by Bernard Quaritch. Edited from the Icelandic by William Morris and Eirikr Magnusson. Tight square binding, no tears, markings, or folds to the light brown pages. The books appear to have been rebound (not positive though) as the spine indicates vols 3-5 but the title pages show 1-3. Light wear on the corners. Green cloth covers are gilt decorated as is the spine. Interiors clean and tight. The first volume has 410 pp. and has a folded map of Norway in the rear pocket. The second volume was published in 1894 and has 484 pp including explanations. The third volume was published in 1895 and has 505 pp including explanations. Books are in very good condition. The map has a couple of pieces missing as seen in the photos. The books are vols 3-5 of the The Saga Library. No smoky or musty odors. No stock photos.
