Offered for auction sale is a wonderfully styled and decorated, 4 Piece Set of Coasters , or Ashtrays, or Trinket Dishes made by Heintz Art Metal Shop in New York in the early 1900's. They are made of Bronze and Sterling. The main bowl has a Sterling decoration all around its midsection, consisting of geometric rectangles and circles, very much in a Native American styled arrangement. The Sterling is in excellent unblemished condition. Fitted into this main bowl are 2 graduated size smaller bronze bowls. Fitted atop all of these pieces is a wide rimmed bronze cover, which by itself, may also serve as a small bowl, or coaster, or ashtray. With the cover in place (First 2 photos), the inner bowls are hidden, and the unit appears as a single ashtray or small weighted dish. The unique shape and geometric design, along with its outstanding patina, gives this set a distinct Arts and Crafts style appearance. This largest main bowl is 3 7/8" at its widest. With the cover in place, it is 1" high. The underside is die-incised with the diamond HAMS (Heintz Art Metal Shop) insignia, along with "STERLING ON BRONZE", "PAT.AUG.27,'12", and with the item design number "537N".SEE ALL PHOTOS AND ENLARGEMENTS BELOW. This wonderful vintage Heintz Sterling on Bronze Bowl Set would make a very fine addition to a Native American, or Arts & Crafts era collection and decor. It would fit in extremely well with a Stickley, Roycroft, Limbert styled environment, and would serve as both a decorative and useful item to enhance your home decor, most certain to be noticed and admired. It is a unique and lovely set. Winning bidder is to pay actual USPS Priority shipping and insurance costs, with no additional materials or handling fees. This item will be very securely packaged for safe shipment. With personal check, this item will be shipped in approximately 10 days to allow for the check to clear. With Paypal payment, shipping will be the next business day. Please also look at other interesting vintage Arts & Crafts era and American Art Pottery items (Roseville, Weller, Matte Green Pottery, and a Heintz Art Metal Shop Pair of Bookends) I am listing for auction this week.
