Up for Auction is a rare and desirable bowl by the Heintz Art Metal Studio of Buffalo, NY, circa 1920s. The bowl is bronze with a sterling silver overlay. The overlay design features a geometric band of silver, with 4 stylized hanging "vines" around the body of the bowl. It is 7 1/4" in diameter, and 2 3/4" in height. The bowl is "double hulled", meaning that t are outer and inner layers of bronze with a space in between. This adds thickness and weight to the piece. The bowl has a beautiful even patina, and is in excellent condition. Only flaw of any note is a small ding on the inside of the piece, which because of the double-hulling, is NOT visible on the outside of the bowl. It is marked on the bottom with the "HAMS" post patent diamond mark, Sterling on Bronze, Pat. Aug. 27, 12, and the number "1861". This would be a great complement to a Heintz vase collection, or a wonderful addition to any Arts & Crafts or Mission decor. For your protection, insurance is included in the shipping fee. US bidders only, and please send payment within 7 days. Thanks for looking!
