This is another original Victorian Era Trade Card printed for the H. J. Heinz Co., and their "57 Varieties Pure Food Products", with this lovely embossed diecut litho card also doubling as a potential book mark and displaying a beautiful young girl in a pink dress emblazoned upon the trademark Pickle. She is also sporting a pink ribbon in her hair and holding aloft a can of Heinz Spaghetti Sauce, with the reverse side of the card listing a few of the other products made by Heinz at that time. The card is in overall very fine to near mint condition, showing only minimal edgewear and has bright color and crisp detail throughout the image and text. It measures approximately 5 1/4" by 2" overall, and is a real beauty of its type. This is part of a series of antique and collectible post cards, books, and magazines on Art and Photography, the Art Deco, Arts and Crafts, and Art Nouveau Movements, and other items of ephemera dating mostly from the late 1800s through the Mid-20th Century, including books on History, original Photographs, Postcards, Advertising Collectibles, and other objects of art that I'll be listing at whipplesbooks on ebay over the next few weeks. Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have, and I'll do my best to provide a satisfactory and timely response. A couple of further notes in general to add: read more
