This auction for a truly magnificent Heisey glass vase, covered with wonderful and heavy silver overlay - all in great condition. None of that thin silver deposit often billed as silver overlay! A thick band of overlay surrounds the top, outlines the folds and drapes of the glass, and encircles the base as well. Clarity is of true Heisey quality and the lovely folds add to the dramatic presentation of this vase. Described & pictured on p.152 of Heisey's Catalogue 102 from 1924, as no two ever being exactly alike, due to the glass blowing process itself. Clearly marked with the Heisey logo and ready to fill with flowers for your next occasion. A very special item for you or perhaps for a wedding gift. Base is 4 1/4", height is 7 1/2" and the opening is 9". Let us know if you need further information or even photos and we will happily oblige.
