Vintage Heisey Glass Basket Hand Painted 9.5 inches TallWhat a fabulous Heisey Basket this is! The shape, the size, the colors and the sparkle are just so incredible. This recessed paneled basket measures 9 ½ inches to the top of the handle. The basket is 7 ¼ inches long by 5 ½ inches wide and flares out at the sides.The hand painted flowers are burnt orange and royal blue with pale green leaves. The edges of the basket are painted in 22-karat gold. T is a sunburst design in the bottom with the Heisey Diamond in the center. Also in the bottom are raised letters and numbers that read PAT. 8/17/15 . Condition: This basket has spent most of its existence in a curio cabinet being admired. Tfore, it is in excellent condition. The only flaw I could find is a tiny bit of paint loss to the gold on one side. (see last picture) Also some very minor surface scratches on the bottom.
