Super RARE (face cut or sawn on the front & the back, to show you the great patterns inside) petrified wood. Superior quality patterns all the way through. Very rare herringbone or zigzag pattern with even more rare open (and some are filled with opal or agate) dry rot holes (some are) outlined in darker colors. Golden browns and cream/tan colors. Wood collectors ... you will want this one. The cool zig zag patterns are showing front & back. Polishes well & this one will make the NEATEST cabs. .. photo # 3 was taken DRY ... all other photos taken wet. SIZE/WEIGHT .. Please see photo for measurements. weighs 1 lb. and 15 ounces COMMENTS ... This is the neatest petrified wood you will ever see. We have had many experts looking at this stuff, FINALLY it has been identified (by Walt Wright) at this last year's Madras, Oregon rock show (2008).. it is Sequoia. He said the holes were caused by dry rot prior to the wood petrifying.
