I have modified this listing to allow purchase of either one or both chairs due to several inquiries. Two very fine, solid Mahogany, hand crafted Henkel-Harris Savery arm chairs, seats upholstered in silk fabric. Unlike many dining room chairs, these are large and very comfortable. They are equally suitable for the living room, den, etc. The intricate carving is all done by hand; the hand assembly includes pegged joints. This is high quality furniture meant to be enjoyed then passed down to generations as treasured antiques. The finish is the H-H 029 dark mahogany. H-H is famous for perhaps the finest craftsmanship and finish available today in genuine heirloom quality furniture. The finish includes time consuming hand padding of stains to create a color consistency that is IN not ON the wood. These chairs are in EXCELLENT condition with only a very few small scuffs/nicks that can be easily touched up. I would suggest not doing that until in their new home just in case there are any shipping issues. The chairs are essentially the same as the current H-H product code 112A, described as a Chippendale Arm Chair. The significant difference is that these have solid versus carved splats. The new chairs have a list price of $3335 EACH and you might be able to get ONE for under $2000 (plus tax/shipping) if you buy a quantity of items at one time. The Savery chairs are no longer made by H-H and have become highly collectible. Reduced to $925 per chair and I will consider reasonable offers, especially for pickup. Approximate chair dimensions: 28”W x 25”D x 41”H and 45 pounds each. A fixed amount of $145 per chair will be charged to cover the cost of packing and insured shipping anywhere in the LOWER 48 STATES . I would encourage anyone within driving distance of the Philadelphia area to consider pick up. This is an individual sale, no sales tax. Again, now willing to break the pair and sell individually.
