Old Silver Pin Brooch Henrik Møller Trondheim Norway NR
An old silver pin or brooch measuring .78" tall by 1.75" wide. This item weighs 10 grams. The Norwegian silversmith Henrik Møller (1858-1937) of Trondheim was a major proponent of Dragestil , a Norse Revival style of the Arts & Crafts period that used Viking era and early Medieval motifs. Much of his work drew on designs found on early architecture of his native Trondheim. Astute in business, Moller catered to an international clientele including a number of Europe's ruling houses. Examples of Moller's Dragestil silver can be found in the Kunstindustrimuseet (Museum of Art) and the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Tronheim. Excellent condition. Could use a gentle polishing. The pin on back is slightly bent, otherwise OK ..... see our fourth photo. Stamped on the back " H. Moeller 830 " ..... see our fifth photo.
