You are bidding on a 2 beautiful pieces set of French Craftmanship dating back to the Gallo-Roman times, the breakfast set decorated with Breton dancers. This auction is for the 2 pieces, cup and tray. This highly decorative ceramic cup and tray is in new condition . Not noticable is a minuscule rough spot in the black paint area on the right side of the tray in the black ridge. T are no cracks. The tray measures 11" High, 7" at the Widest point, and the small legs/stands measure 1/2". The cup is MINT, no cracks or chips. This French artwork is fully handpainted, initialed by the artist signed Henriot Quimper and numbered, ensuring the value and authenticity of each piece. The production of Quimper began in the late 1600s at the Bosquet factory named for its owner, Jean-Baptiste Bosquet. Two other families joined in the production of Quimper in the early 1700s, Eloury and Dumaine. While these three factories continued to produce Quimper into the 20th century, they did go through some changes. In the late 18th century, the Bosquet and Eloury factories received name changes due to marriages. Bosquet became de la Hubaudière and later HB for Hubaudière-Bosquet, while Eloury survived as Eloury-Porquier and then Porquier-Beau.
