Today we are pleased to offer you this wonderful chromolithograph created by Henry Cessiers.
This lithograph was created in 1904 and is copyrighted by "Emil Spielvogel", NY. It is a wonderful lithograph of a harbor scene with people greeting and unloading ships. There are a number of colors in this print and the print itself is in very good shape. It looks a bit smudged here and there but I can't tell if it's dust behind the glass as we kept it protected in its frame. The frame and mat are both old and black. The frame shows a lot of wear and will need repair or replacing. The Editeurs of this piece were: Dietrich & Co., Bruxellex. Matted and framed this piece is 14" x 15 1/2". The visible space of the lithograph is approximately 8" x 10". Please ask any questions you may have. Henry Cessaires was born in Brussels and lived from 1858-1944. He is best known for his shipping posters and post cards and the use of watercolor.
