You are bidding on a Henry Disston & Sons 36" CHAMPION One Man Cross Cut Saw 1917 âe" 1942 Brass Medallion (between Wars) Wood Handle- Recently refinished The saw was recently obtained from an estate sale, shows to have been well cared for, exact age is unknown. Check out my other items ! I believe this is an early Henry Disston & Sons CHAMPION 36", One Man Cross Cut handsaw , Iâe(tm)m not sure of the model number, canâe(tm)t make it out. I believe the saw has the early brass medallion and screws that I believe were produced from 1917 through early 1942 (between Wars Production). The medallion dim. size is 1" I believe the saw has the apple wood handle, with brass medallion and screws, and a spring steel blade. The blade is stamped: Henry Disston & Sons Red US Pat Off Cast Steel Warrented Philadelphia USA. Some of the writing is faded and hard to make out. The blade is 36" long, and appears to be #5 on the heel, (a 5 point per inch) The saw is in good condition, the wood handle is solid âe" had a crack in the wood on the bottom that was pressured glued and pinned and has been recently sanded and refinished close to original color and finish. As with the vintage of the saw, t is some normal wear, a few scratches, dents & dings. The blade has all teeth, some discoloration and some minor pitting spots, Iâe(tm)m sure the blade
