This auction features a Victorian antique 18K gold Ladieswatch by Henry Hoffman with original wooden case and original key for the watch(You can see the key in a number of the pictures). The case measures about 5.25 inches by about 4 inches. The case has a small metal plate with an initial, I think an âeoeHâe. It has two circles in the interior, one to store the case and one to store the movement. The interior top of the box appears to be white satin. It has faintly in gold the numbers âeoe32361âe. The watch has about a 1.75 inch diameter. The interior of the watch case has âeoe32361 / K 18âe stamped in it. The watch case has beautiful detailed decoration on front and back. The back of the movement has âeoeHenry Hoffman / Lodel / 32361âe.
Condition: The wooden case has some condition problems. It has light scratching and a panel of wood on the bottom is missing. The interior of the wooden case shows wear. The white satin lining on the interior top of the box has some discoloration. The gold watch case looks in good condition with only light scratching from gentle usage. The back of the movement (w the Henry Hoffman signature appears) has light scratching. The watch has not been wound or cleaned as long as my parents have owned it; sometime in the late 1970âe(tm)s. The watch appears to have been treasured and not abused. I do not know whether it is in running order or not. It has been stored in my parentâe(tm)s my smoke free home since they purchased it.
